This information is combined with rating elements such as
single items processing, weight breaks, quantity breaks,
insurance rates and cost breaks, to arrive at a rating
formulation.
The
system has the ability to calculate freight costs, and
allocate those costs to the appropriate parties - defined
within the system as 'Cost
Centre Recharging.'
Revenue rating
is used for those cases where mail rooms recharge internal cost
centres as though they were external clients. It can also be used in
the case of mail houses where recharging to clients produces
transaction revenue.
