Proof of Delivery for your PDA

Electronic Proof Of Delivery (ePOD)

The ePOD system allows you to capture a name, signature, date and time at the time your order is delivered. The orders may be allocated to runs or branches. In addition, the ePOD complaints register allows your clients to indicate when an order has arrived under delivered or damaged. This information may then be downloaded into a spreadsheet for viewing.

The PDAs will then download the orders. The PDAs can be setup to only download orders for a particular run, to download all orders and then select the run, or to simply download all orders. At the time that the goods are delivered the order is selected and the signature captured. The data is sent back to the server when the PDA can be connected to the Internet (via cradle, WiFi or GPRS).

You can view the signatures from the server by order. A facility exists to print the POD information with your company logo so that it can be sent to your clients. You may also choose to allow your clients access to the POD search. This data can also be downloaded back to the in-house systems.

When the driver goes to deliver the goods they select the order and the address details are displayed. At that time the client's signature is captured and the date and time of the signature. In addition, the driver can register complaints through the interface.

Features:

  • Flexible Order allocation: Orders can be uploaded from an in-house system with or without the runs already allocated.

  • Online Data Entry: Your clients may enter the orders over the Internet.

  • Manual order allocation available: You can manually allocate orders to runs on the server.

  • Order Download: Orders can be download to your PDA. Your PDAs can be set up to only download orders for a particular run; to download all orders and then select the run; or to simply download all orders.

  • Signature Capture: At the time that the goods are delivered the order is selected and a signature may be captured. The data is sent back to the server when the PDA can be connected to the Internet (via cradle, WiFi or GPRS).

  • Signature viewing: You can view the signatures from the server by order. This data can also be downloaded back to your in-house systems.

  • Complaints register: Your clients can indicate where an order has been under delivered or damaged. This may be entered by the client directly onto a PDA at the time of the delivery and uploaded when data is transferred to the server. Alternatively, the client may contact your customer service staff and the complaint may be registered manually into the system. Once uploaded, all complaints may be transferred into a spreadsheet for analysis.

The main PDA screen is shown below:

The data is then sent back to the server. The communications occurs through TCP/IP so it supports data transfers via docking stations, WiFi, GPRS connections and Bluetooth.

Runsheets

The PDAs may optionally be configured to only receive the data for one run. Allowing orders to be allocated to different runs.

Server interface

The server can be interfaced with local systems for high volume environments or it can be used to manually enter transactions.

The server can be used for:

  • Direct data entry of orders

  • Run allocations

  • Complaints management

  • Reviewing PODs

  • Exchanging information with local systems through a generic program that transfers and receives data.

  • Data may also be exchanged using FTP and HTTP.

Order entry

The server order entry system allows for an order to be entered online. It also supports orders being uploaded from a client's system.

POD review

The POD review allows an order number to be entered and it's Proof Of Delivery to be displayed. There is an optional print that is formatted for presentation to a client.

POD exceptions

An interface exists where orders that have not had a POD recorded are displayed.

Dispatch

The dispatch screen allows orders to be manually allocated to runsheets. It is possible for the allocation to have been done through the client's local processes then uploaded.

Complaints system

The server complaints system manages a register of complaints recorded by the drivers.
